A federal judge accused Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team of “lying” and trying to use “unfettered power” to bring down President Donald Trump.
According to Fox News, the explosive remarks from U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III came on Friday during a hearing for Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign manager.
Here’s Ellis’ full statements scolding Mueller’s team:
“I don’t see what relation this indictment has to do with what the special counsel is authorized to investigate. You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort. You really care about what information Mr. Manafort can give you to lead you to Mr. Trump and an impeachment, or whatever.”
“C’mon, man,” he said at one point in the hearing.

Ellis, who was appointed by former President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, said Mueller’s team was “lying” by claiming they were genuinely charging Manafort for alleged tax crimes and bank fraud that occurred many years ago.
He said this was a plot to impeach or take down Trump.
Federal judge TS Ellis (overseeing Manafort case in VA) questions Mueller's powers, per @kpolantz: "We don’t want anyone in this country with unfettered power. It’s unlikely you’re going to persuade me the special prosecutor has power to do anything he or she wants."

Ellis also demanded to see the unredacted “scope memo,” a document detailing the scope of the special counsel’s Russia probe.
Republicans have been demanding this documents for months, but the DOJ and Mueller’s office have refused to hand it over.
Ellis’ explosive comments come as Manafort filed a motion to dismiss the charges in the 18-count indictment Mueller’s office levied against him.
The judge took the motion to dismiss under advisement and will make ruling in the coming weeks.
But more importantly, Ellis gave Mueller’s team the scolding many Americans wanted.

The WITCH HUNT is real.

After a year of investigating, Mueller hasn’t found or produced a shred of evidence against Trump or about alleged Russian collusion.
Trump has been cooperating with the special counsel’s office for more than a year, and many agree that enough is enough.
