WATCH: Democrat Compares CIA Agents To Terrorists, Gina Haspel Rips Him To Pieces

President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the new CIA director, Gina Haspel, fielded numerous questions during her confirmation hearing on Wednesday before Congress.

In one notable exchange, Democrat Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island disgustingly compared CIA agents to radical terrorists.

“You have an operations officer who is captured. He’s being waterboarded. I’ve asked you very simply: Would you determine that to be immoral and something that should never be done, condoned in any way, shape, or form?” Reed asked.

“Your response seems to be that civilized nations don’t do it but uncivilized nations do it — or uncivilized groups do it,” Reed continued. “A civilized nation was doing it until it was outlawed by this Congress.”

As noted by The Daily Wire, Haspel ripped Reed to pieces for daring to compare our braves heroes to radical Islamic terrorists.

“Senator, I would never obviously support inhumane treatment of any CIA officers. We’ve lost CIA officers over the years to terrorists. I just gave an example. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed personally killed a Wall Street Journal correspondent and filmed it.”

I don’t think there’s any comparison between CIA officers serving their country — adhering to U.S. law — and terrorists who, by their very definition, are not following anybody’s law.”

Watch below:

In what world is it acceptable for anyone, especially a member of Congress, to compare a CIA agent to a terrorist?

The U.S. interrogating a terrorist who inflicted harm on others is in no way comparable to terrorists inflicting harm on innocent people.

They are terrorists, by definition, because they attack and kill innocent people for political or religious reasons. The U.S. has never and will never do that, and Reed knows that.

But he apparently hates Trump so much that he’s willing to compare CIA officers to terrorists in an attempt to somehow claim Haspel isn’t fit to lead the agency.

That is utter garbage. Reed should immediately issue an apology to our brave men and women in uniform who have risked their lives and given up everything to protect this nation.
